Annette O'Toole was raised in Houston Texas in the dance studio of her mother. As a toddler she appeared on television for the first time when she was two. After ten years in singing and dance lessons Her mother and her went on a journey to L.A. to try and determine if a show-business career was possible. The first show she worked on as a professional dancer in only two months on Danny Kaye's The Danny Kaye Show. She says "I have used my training in singing and dance to many different ways." It's a discipline-building experience that comes through this training is beneficial to an actor." Her first acting role was My Three Sons. This was followed by Gunsmoke. The Mod Squad. and Hawaii Five-O. In her career, she's performed in more than forty series For all her success both in the world of television and film the one thing she loves most is the theater. She decided, after her six year run on Smallville was over, to concentrate on theater exclusively. It's exactly what she's been doing since the beginning of the year. Since moving from New York, she had her debut performance as a seagull in The Sea Gull. She's appeared in a variety of off-Broadway productions, among them Adam Rapp's Kindness, Tracy Letts' Man from Nebraska as well as Tennessee Williams' A Lovely Sunday for Creve Couer.
